Sunday Stamping: Bold Gold over Zuza

Hello everyone!
Today's post is for a Facebook group I am in call Adventures in Stamping.
Every Sunday we have a themed stamping challenge this weeks theme was gold.
You could stamp on a gold base, stamp with a gold polish, or add gold glitter. Pretty much however you interpret Gold. So for my mani I started with Zoya Zuza as my base and I stamped with Maybelline Bold Gold for the stamping. Bold Gold is an awesome stamper and it is the gold that I always reach for.
If you see this polish, buy it!

1 coat OPI Nail Envy
2 coats Zoya Zuza
stamped with Maybelline Bold Gold and GA47
topped with Seche Vite

I wanted to see what it would look like matte so I used Julep Matte Top Coat

What do you think? Do you prefer matte or shiney?

31 Day Challenge Day 10, Gradient Nails

Wow today has flown by!
I had to work a longer shift today then I thought, then dinner with the hubby for our anniversary.
Before I knew it its 9:30 and I'm already a day late on this post but I personally think this mani is worth the wait. Now I have done gradient nails before and I have done a gradient stamp before as well. This is the first time I have mixed the two, and I love it!

1 coat OPI Nail Envy
2 coats Maybelline Bold Gold
gradient with Bold Gold and Zoya Carly
stamped Bold Gold, Carly, Mash-44
1 coat SV

What do you guys think?
You guys will probably be seeing a variation of this again because I am smitten!

Check out what the other lovely ladies have been up to:

31 Day Challenge Day 5: Blue Nails

Hello Girlies!
So I know I am a day late on my challenge post but I have a good reason.
I have been battling a cold for the last couple days and yesterday it somehow turned into a major toothache.
The toothache got so bad that I ended up going to the ER. After 5 hours there we finally left and made it home around 1 am. They gave me 3 different medications and one is a pain killer so I have been a bit loopy all day :-)
I slept in a little today while my lovely husband kept an eye on the little one so I could recover a bit.
When I woke up I did a quick mani snapped some pictures then he drove me to work, since I am on pain meds and I didn't want to crash the car! My boss is out of town so I had to go in today to take care of everything she usually does since I am second in command.
So I just got home from work and am typing this up right away, and that is why it is late.
Onto the blue nails!
I decided to pull out one of my untried polishes China Glaze Bermuda Breakaway.
I am so sad that I have not used this before it is such a beautiful navy blue. It is so strange it is a navy but it is a bright navy... figure that one out.

1 coat OPI Nail Envy
2 coats CG Bermuda Breakaway
taped off 1 coat Revlon Metallic
taped off 1 coat Zoya Carly
1 coat Seche Vite

I also decided it needed a little more pizazz, so I added some Zoya Carly to the very tips of my nails... I like it!

Not too bad for someone hyped up on pain medication.

Zoya Kimber, double stamped

Hello!
Have you ever done your nails and thought
"This looks a little weird, but I kind of like it. Maybe I don't like it. Hmm, I like it in this lighting but not in this lighting..."
On and on and on. That is what this manicure was for me. I wasn't sure if I liked it. I liked all the colors separately I'm just not sure how much I like them together.
The base on this is Zoya Kimber from the new surf collection.
She is a reddish orange, shimmery, glass fleck polish.
(No one does glass fleck like Zoya)
This is:

1 coat OPI Nail Envy
2 coats Zoya Kimber
Plate Mash-48 stamped in Funky Fingers Down to Earth and  Konad Black Pearl
1 coat Poshe Topcoat

My husband said that from far away it looks like a ladybug.
See right now I am liking it in these pictures now that I'm not wearing it anymore, but I'm not sure if I'll like it 5 minutes from now.
I'm just indecisive.

Caitlin, Carly and a Silver Mercedes

I am having so much fun stamping lately.
I have recently bought the new Mash stamping plates and they are amazing!
Another one is featured here today...

I started with:
1 coat OPI Nail Envy base coat
2 coats of Zoya Caitlin
Stamped Mash-43 with:
Zoya Carly & Pure Ice Silver Mercedes
topped it all off with 1 coat of SV

I love how sparkly Carly is, even when it is just stamped you can still see the glittery goodness!

Zuza and Rory

Hey guys. How is every one's week going? Mine is pretty good, I've gotten some good nail mail this week...
I heard about an online coupon for Zoya, if you bought a 6 piece collection you received 50% off!
A $48 collection for $24, I'm in. I chose the new Surf collection (mainly for Zuza and Carly)
Then because if your order was $30 or more you received free shipping, I added on Crystal :)
They also sent me a free 2oz. bottle of Zoya Remove+ (can't wait to try it) and their swatch book!

My Haul
For some reason Meg shined pink in direct sunlight and I was too excited to notice at the time.
Yes, I have a second bottle of Meg, but she is so pretty I don't care!

I decided to use two of these pretties right off the bat!
This is Zuza and Rory (gradient on the  accent nail) with stamp MASH-43
(yes I received the new Mash plates this week as well!)
with Nail Envy as a base coat and SV on top.

I also broke a nail this week, guess which one? For some reason my middle nail is my problem nail.
The nail bed is shorter than the rest, so even though all of my other nails are filed down as well it still looks like one short nail and the rest are long... oh well.

Butterfly or Fairy?

Hmmm....
This mani started off as a butterfly but it might be a fairy.
I started off with Color Club's Pucci-licious.
Then I sponged on some Zoya Mimi for some extra sparkle.
Then with Art Deco's black and silver striper and a dotting tool to make the butterfly wings.
I added some China Glaze Fairy Dust to give it a little extra pizzazz!
This is all topped off with SV.

I love the sparkly part where Mimi and Fairy Dust mix!

Which do you think it is? Butterfly? Fairy?

Meg Stamped

So my sister and I went to Ulta the other day. It was tons of fun and nice to have some girly time and pick out some new polishes. We noticed that a lot of brands were buy 2 get 1 free, including Zoya! Plus I remembered that I had a coupon for 15% off of the entire purchase in my car. So each polish was about $4.55, what a deal!

I noticed that there was one lonely bottle on a restocking cart from the Zoya Surf collection so I snatched it! There was no other bottle from the Surf or Beach collection in the entire store, Believe me I looked! This bottle was meant for me.

This is Zoya Meg. She is beautiful.
Since I am also currently obsessed with the new Bundle Monster plates they were used too.
What is better than one new image? Two new images!
Sometimes less is more, but not this time. I was unhappy with my first stamp so I added another.

I first stamped with the new "water marble" image, then when that was not exciting enough I added the butterfly image.

I liked how the stamp was semi-matte, so I left it like that :)

Polishes
Zoya-Meg
Revlon- Metallic
Konad- Black Pearl

Tools
BM-320
BM-307

What do you think of Meg?

On a side note while I was in Ulta I noticed a display with "Ulta Exclusive" OPIs, this would have been really cool but it seemed like every color had been taken out of previous collections and renamed... I know OPI has a habit of this but these were pretty recent and well known collections. I didn't buy any of these but there were dupes from a lot of the Pirates of the Caribean collection and a dupe for "Last Friday Night" and "Not Like the Movies" from Katy Perry. I wasn't sure if I should be annoyed because OPI was trying to pull a fast one on us or snatching up some colors from collections that I may have missed out on? What do you think? Annoying or second chance?
